Accreditation and Affiliation
The National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana has accredited the College of Health and Well-Being, Kintampo to run the following Degree programmes:
at its meeting held from 19th to 20th December 2019 has reaffirmed its accreditation for a period of five (5) years with effect from 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2024.
The NAB also stipulates that proposed universities be established as university colleges and be affiliated to already established and accredited university. For this reason, the College of Health and Well-Being is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The implication of this is that the University of Cape Coast and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology shall oversee the growth and academic activities of this College and the respective programmes affiliated to them and jointly award the degrees of the College until this College is given the Presidential Charter to award its own degrees. The Charter then gives the College the autonomy to operate as a full-fledged university.
